* [media] bt8xxx: Use monotonic timeAbhilash Jindal2015-08-161-13/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | Wall time obtained from do_gettimeofday is susceptible to sudden jumps due to user setting the time or due to NTP. Monotonic time is constantly increasing time better suited for comparing two timestamps. * [media] rc-core: document the protocol typeDavid Härdeman2014-07-241-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Right now the protocol information is not preserved, rc-core gets handed a scancode but has no idea which protocol it corresponds to. This patch (which required reading through the source/keymap for all drivers, not fun) makes the protocol information explicit which is important documentation and makes it easier to e.g. support multiple protocols with one decoder (think rc5 and rc-streamzap). The information isn't used yet so there should be no functional changes. * [media] rc-core: improve ir-kbd-i2c get_key functionsDavid Härdeman2014-07-241-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | The arguments used for ir-kbd-i2c's get_key() functions are not really suited for rc-core and the ir_raw/ir_key distinction is just confusing. Convert all of them to return a protocol/scancode/toggle triple instead. Signed-off-by: David Härdeman <david@hardeman.nu> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>
* [media] bt8xx: fixup RC5 decodingDavid Härdeman2014-07-241-30/+32
| | | | | | | | | | | The bt8xx driver does RC5 decoding for Nebula digi hardware, but includes some pointless limitations (both start bits must be one, the device/address/system must be 0x00). Remove those limitations and update the keymap to use the full RC5 scancode (fortunately the 0x00 address means that this is perfectly backwards compatible). * [media] bttv: move fini_bttv_i2c() from bttv-input.c to bttv-i2c.cFrank Schaefer2013-03-051-8/+0
| | | | | | | Like init_bttv_i2c(), fini_bttv_i2c() belongs to bttv-i2c.c. Signed-off-by: Frank Schäfer <fschaefer.oss@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* [media] bttv: make remote controls of devices with i2c ir decoder workingFrank Schaefer2013-03-051-9/+13
| | | | | | | | Request module ir-kbd-i2c if an i2c ir decoder is detected. Tested with device "Hauppauge WinTV Theatre" (model 37284 rev B421). Signed-off-by: Frank Schäfer <fschaefer.oss@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
* Drivers: media: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman2013-01-041-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
