* scsi: mptfusion: Remove #ifndef __GENKSYMS__ / #endifBart Van Assche2024-10-041-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Except for preventing build errors, there shouldn't be any conditionals in kernel drivers on __GENKSYMS__. Hence remove an #ifndef __GENKSYMS__ / #endif pair from the MPT Fusion driver. * scsi: fusion: fix if-statement empty body warningRandy Dunlap2020-03-121-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When driver debugging is not enabled, change the debug print macros to use the no_printk() macro. This fixes a gcc warning when -Wextra is set: ../drivers/message/fusion/mptlan.c:266:39: warning: suggest braces around empty body in an ‘else’ statement [-Wempty-body] I have verified that there is very little object code change (with gcc 7.5.0). There are a few changes like: cmp %a,%b jl $1 to cmp %b,%a jg $1 Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/ff9df31b-c4c1-c942-1cbf-18039e084c8e@infradead.org Cc: Bart Van Assche <bvanassche@acm.org> Cc: "James E.J. * scsi: mptlan: Remove linux/miscdevice.h from mptlan.hCorentin Labbe2017-01-051-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | This patch remove linux/miscdevice.h from mptlan.h since mptlan.h does not contain any miscdevice. The only user of it is mptctl.c which already include linux/miscdevice.h So no need to include it twice. Signed-off-by: Corentin Labbe <clabbe.montjoie@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Martin K. * Replace <asm/uaccess.h> with <linux/uaccess.h> globallyLinus Torvalds2016-12-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This was entirely automated, using the script by Al: PATT='^[[:blank:]]*#[[:blank:]]*include[[:blank:]]*<asm/uaccess.h>' sed -i -e "s!$PATT!#include <linux/uaccess.h>!" \ $(git grep -l "$PATT"|grep -v ^include/linux/uaccess.h) to do the replacement at the end of the merge window. * tokenring: delete all remaining driver supportPaul Gortmaker2012-05-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This represents the mass deletion of the of the tokenring support. It gets rid of: - the net/tr.c which the drivers depended on - the drivers/net component - the Kbuild infrastructure around it - any tokenring related CONFIG_ settings in any defconfigs - the tokenring headers in the include/linux dir - the firmware associated with the tokenring drivers. - any associated token ring documentation. * [PATCH] changing CONFIG_LOCALVERSION rebuilds too much, for no good reasonOlaf Hering2005-11-091-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes almost all inclusions of linux/version.h. The 3 #defines are unused in most of the touched files. A few drivers use the simple KERNEL_VERSION(a,b,c) macro, which is unfortunatly in linux/version.h. There are also lots of #ifdef for long obsolete kernels, this was not touched. In a few places, the linux/version.h include was move to where the LINUX_VERSION_CODE was used. quilt vi `find * -type f -name "*.[ch]"|xargs grep -El '(UTS_RELEASE|LINUX_VERSION_CODE|KERNEL_VERSION|linux/version.h)'|grep -Ev '(/(boot|coda|drm)/|~$)'` search pattern: /UTS_RELEASE\|LINUX_VERSION_CODE\|KERNEL_VERSION\|linux\/\(utsname\|version\).h Signed-off-by: Olaf Hering <olh@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
